To incorporate a shutdown button into the Windows 11 desktop, no additional software is required. This software simply adds a desktop shortcut to new options, making it slightly different from standard software. Instead of specifying a location, you can enter an optional shortcut command. You can add a closure button to your work area as follows:
1. Select New Context Menu by right-clicking
on the Windows 11 desktop.
2. Select Easy route to open the Make
Alternate way window.
3. Then, in the location text box, type
shutdown /s /t 0 as shown in the image below.
4. Click the Following button to go to the
naming stage.
5. In the text box, enter "shut
down."
6. To create the desktop shortcut, click the
Finish button.
To add a symbol to your new closure button,
right-click the easy route and select Properties. Then, on the
"Shortcut" tab, click the "Change icon" button, and the
window immediately below will open. Select the red shutdown shortcut icon
there, and then select OK. To close the window, click "OK" after
pressing the "Apply" button.
Open the "Change Icon" window once
more to look for the "Shutdown" button after doing this. Click Browse
in that window, then select the downloaded custom icon. Click OK > Apply
after choosing an icon from the Change Icon window.
